Please read ALL of the description, and don't be put off by the first paragraph, this is now an exellent car..... but we like to be as honest as we can with all our cars
. This car came into us as a non runner, the customers wife had driven it untill it stopped.......not realising the car had run out of water as the head gasket had gone.. (bless her).......
we attempted to repair the existing engine on the owners instructions , but against our advice.... the engine had been 'well and truly cooked', and didnt feel nice....
anyhow , for a small fee, a new gasket was fitted and we got it running, BUT....
it billowed smoke from the exhaust (gass masks reqd in w/shop)
was noisy and irratic on idle and when put on the gas analizer,
the emmissions were way way above the legal limits. (and mot was due)... the engine was ****** so to cut the story short, the customer exchanged the car for a cheaper 'trade in' that we had just aquired (still it goes and has mot) ..as he had no more money and needed a car urgently.
The car then stood for some time, at the back of the workshop while we got on with other things... EVENTUALLY We found and fitted an exellent complete engine extracted from a crashed car which has done only 42000 miles,
it now it runs superb, no problems at all...
Overall it is in good condition, of course cosmetically its not perfect, with average amount of age related blemishes.
However we have discovered that it has brand new front brakes, discs and pads and by the exellent way it stops, the backs are probably new as well, the electric windows, and power steering, including the (extra light) city steer working fine, and on our road test, it drove very well, with no issues to report, everything working as it should. The extra light 'City Steer' for parking works fine , as does the central locking, and electric windows. It has good tyres all round and we hope to have a new Mot by the weekend (if we get time ) The bodywork is also good, with a few very minor 'shopping trolley' marks which are only to be expected, and the interior is clean and fresh, no undue wear whatsoever.

As with all of our cars, they are valeted prepaired to high standards, even the little cheapiesare checked over, with any major faults found rectified in the price, they may sometimes appear slightly more expensive than some cars advertised on the net , (but these are often "home traders" pretending to be private sellers who do little or nothing to the cars except cleaning) but we pride ourselves that our cars are in as good, or better condition than the majority of small traders or home sellers dealing in this price range, they are certainly well below normal forcourt prices for identical vehicles, prepaired to similar standards and consiquently , they will work out better buys in the long run with little or no unforseable extra expences.
Although , like all car sales , we are open to negotiation, we feel our cars are worth every penny of the prices we ask , which is based on our extensive experience and current market values and conditions ,
and any offers must be realisticaly close to our asking prices
*If you are buying a first car, (or any car) I would always offer this piece of advice, ....... whoever you buy from, be it me, another dealer or private sale,....
that it is best to consider the whole deal, how well has the car been prepaired, have any pre-existing faults or niggles been rectified etc, the car that is offered at the cheapest price may not be the cheapest car in the long run.
Ask questions as to the condition and when such things brakes and suspension were last inspected, when the oil change and cam belt if it has one, is due, or if it has had, or going to have a propper service and/or saftey check by a reputable/qualified mechanic.
These are the points where the unexpected and unwanted supprises and expences can occour if not attended to proir to sale.
